They are used in several different areas, similar to metal perforation, and depending on the area in which they are used we can have very different types and characteristics.
Usually the most popular meshes have square, rectangular or rhomboid shapes and are made of iron, galvanized iron or stainless steel.
However, we can find other types of construction materials such as aluminum, copper, brass. Usually these materials, especially brass, are used for particular networking , which will then become part of decorations in public places, hotels, restaurants and offices.
The other materials are used for the construction of wire mesh for agricultural, industrial or sports.
Galvanized iron, steel and titanium nets are of very good quality, since they can rely on a high resistance to atmospheric factors and forces. Often the quality is guaranteed by certifications in production and packaging processes. Whether they are produced in rolls or panels, in order to remain intact until their use, they should have adequate protection in the package.
With regard to the type, the wire meshes are available in these three ways:
- Woven, when the wire is bigger than 1mm
- Wavy, networks obtained with the braiding of individual strands forming each square mesh.
- Welded, networks that have the special characteristic of having constant lights inside the mesh, obtained thanks to the welding.
When ordering wire meshes, it is important that a client indicates the supplier the product specifications, namely:
- The diameter of the wire
- The type and quality of the material
- The length and height of the net
- The space between a node and the other network (distance) or, when very close, the light of the mesh (ie the vacuum inside the mesh) calculated to the nearest millimeter.

Recycled Furniture – The Cool Way to Save the Planet and Furnish Your Home!

Thanks to the eco-friendly green movement and a growing awareness that recycling is something to immerse our selves in as members of a global community, designers have had some great inspiration and a friendly push to create amazing new products from existing materials that have been discarded by their previous owners. This recycled designer furniture has proved that a revolution of aesthetically pleasing recycling is not only beneficial but achievable. Recycling isn't just putting your plastics and glass into the correct containers, it should become a part of every day life. We can live amongst recycled materials more effectively, by supporting this process we get to prevent our our rivers, soil and countryside from being polluted by our landfill rubbish. Every year in Britain we send 100 million tons (this is not including a million tons of textiles and more than two million tons of metal) into landfill tips. The casual Primark, disposable fashion that has become so apart of our culture is disastrous for our planet.

Seats are being made out of shopping trollies, bath tubs halved in two to create deep and effective sofa's. Another material that is starting to shien much like our old friend bamboo in the 1990's is cardboard. It seems that it can be used as a replacement for many conventional materials too. We don't need to chop down any trees or use any virgin materials to create new durable and visually pleasing furniture. Whole salers like fashion4homes are even cottoning onto the trend with their cardboard sideboard and bookshelf proving that cardboard can be a delightful material to incorporate into your home. It is so interesting to see functional art merge with the recycling community via furniture design to combine with original elements of retired furniture to instill a fresh and appealing look, for a second time round. So next time you are looking at investing in a new piece for your home, why dont you check out the recycable furniture available to yopu in your price range, shabby chic never goes out of fashion.

Policy for a safe and clean industrial laundry

In order to meet the requirements of quality, safety, comfort and environmental respect, it is necessary that an industrial laundry adopts some tricks and take into account some basic aspects:

- The incoming water must be pure, under the microbiological point of view and tanks should be periodically monitored;

- Staff can carry inside the laundry contaminating micro-organisms;

- Chemicals that are used and which contribute to exercise the disinfection treatment include disinfectants, detergents and bleaching products.
- The compounds mentioned above have to be adapted to the types of soil and fabric and it's also necessary that they don't involve a chemical hazard to workers
- when they leave the laundry, Textile goods must be visually and microbiologically clean;
- Dirty water, if discharged, must comply with laws for wastewater, in order not to cause environmental pollution (sewers, groundwater, surface water);
- The aggregation of corpuscular particles of various types and gender, commonly known as dust, can be critical under the point of view of safety, occupational hygiene and hygiene of the product, as it is a vehicle of dissemination of microbes. The search for new forms and need of flexibility and "freedom" of the spaces enhance the use of steel in modern constructions since it helps reducing the overall dimensions of the structures and extending the free light.
Steel is at the top of the list of materials to be used due to its high recyclability. It is the preferred material for metal perforated sheets, expanded metal sheets, wire mesh and nets. Its flexibility allows the future possibility of space upgrading and retraining, its extension or elevation, by means of the dismantling and subsequent reassembly.
Steel is widely used in the construction field, where it lends itself to the most diverse and modern projects. A good example of this are ventilated facades, a combination of technology and form, that can "simplify" large walls under a visual point of view, and give architectural value to low quality buildings too.

Hand made Laser cutting

Who says you have to buy professional tools to cut different materials? An American student has built a laser using household items taken from an old DVD player.

Peter Jansen, American student and member of the RepRap community, has sharpened his wits and has built by himself a machine for cutting different materials by means of a laser. How did he manage? Well, he used an old CD / DVD player. He used a infrared laser diode instead of a 20-100W watt CO2 laser diode used on professional products (like other laser cutting machines for sale).

If the traditional tools for laser cutting are very powerful and with a laser beam fixed focus, Peter has thought of a small change dynamically adapting the focal point of the laser through a movement similar to that of an oscillating saw that lets you using a less powerful laser diode, and certainly less expensive. At the time his invention works only for cutting a few centimeters thick material, but could be improved with the help of other hi-tech hobbyists.

CBF: Italian valves and components for oil hydraulic systems

CBF is an Italian company located in Montecchio Maggiore (Vicenza), founded in 1986, manufacturing hydraulic valves and components.

At the beginning, the company had its business core on hydraulic products for the agriculture, earth moving and lifting machinery. Nowadays CBF is specialized in a wide range of oil hydraulic valves for the mobile and industrial equipment sector. CBF also designs and manufactures hydraulic systems under customer specifications.
On their website www.cbfhydraulic.com, it's possible to choose one of the following categories of products: check valves, flow control (unidirectional needle valves), motor valves, overcenter valves, pressure control,sandwich and solenoid valves, each of them containing all the specific types of valves.
CBF has always had a particular attention towards quality: that's why in November 1999, CBF has been operating with a Quality System certified under ISO 9002, followed by the November 2003 adjustment from DNV, on Quality Management System conforming to the latest UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 standard.

Metal soldering

Metal soldering is a metallurgical operation which exploits the great plasticity of ferrous materials and the complete adherence among them when, heated to fusion, they are compressed.

This process developed and improved thanks to technological sciences, has generated several soldering processes that, with the help of the right machines, make the execution of many works more possible and easier.
Through soldering (and other important techniques, like plasma and laser cutting, in particular Laser cutting 2d), a lot of building criteria have been changed: nowadays in fact soldering is a very important tool able to solve numbers of mechanics problems.
Thanks to soldering, modern building technique has an operative toll of great importance which has unquestionable advantages: first of all it can lighten buildings, it can simplify junctions and processing, it can assembly more rapidly and with more precision, it permits to make special shapes and carry out the work in uncomfortable positions.
But the executive technique is nos as simple as it may seem, since it requests many expedients and a great ability of the operator who has the hard duty of creating a perfect junction from the point of view of the aesthetics and of the mechanical resistance.
