In order to meet the requirements of quality, safety, comfort and environmental respect, it is necessary that an industrial laundry adopts some tricks and take into account some basic aspects:
- The incoming water must be pure, under the microbiological point of view and tanks should be periodically monitored;
- Staff can carry inside the laundry contaminating micro-organisms;
- Chemicals that are used and which contribute to exercise the disinfection treatment include disinfectants, detergents and bleaching products.
- The compounds mentioned above have to be adapted to the types of soil and fabric and it's also necessary that they don't involve a chemical hazard to workers
- when they leave the laundry, Textile goods must be visually and microbiologically clean;
- Dirty water, if discharged, must comply with laws for wastewater, in order not to cause environmental pollution (sewers, groundwater, surface water);
- The aggregation of corpuscular particles of various types and gender, commonly known as dust, can be critical under the point of view of safety, occupational hygiene and hygiene of the product, as it is a vehicle of dissemination of microbes. The same combination may represent a risk factor for operators who look after the maintenance of industrial laundry equipment and after washed and disinfected textile.
